About the event

Learn a bit about what life is like as a farmer-florist!

We'll begin with a guided walk through the flower field, where you'll learn about the varieties we grow, the basics of flower farming, and why locally grown, seasonal flowers are more important than ever. From supporting local farms to reducing environmental impact and celebrating what's blooming in our climate, you'll leave with a new appreciation for the journey from field to vase.

Next, you'll head into the field to harvest your own flowers. With guidance along the way, you'll learn how to select, cut, and condition blooms just like a flower farmer, choosing up to 40 stems to create your own unique palette.

Back in the workshop, we'll transform your harvest into a garden-inspired bowl arrangement. You'll learn the fundamentals of floral design using sustainable, foam-free mechanics that are both beautiful and environmentally friendly, gaining a new skill you can…

We farm on unceded Algonquin territory. As farmers, we recognize that Indigenous people have stewarded land, watersheds, and seed since time immemorial. To learn on what traditional territory you live and work, go to www.native-land.ca.
