We are a cut flower farm in the Ottawa Gatineau region. We grow over 50 varieties of specialty cut-flowers and foliage on just under a quarter acre. The cut-flowers we grow are in bloom from May until October.

Soil health and supporting biodiversity are at the heart of our farming practices. We focus on no-till farming to regenerate soil, retain water, and grow healthy abundant flowers. The flower field is home to an abundance of pollinators, birds, toads, voles, insects, as well as an incredible diversity of life below the soil.

It's also one of the most beautiful spaces to be in on the farm 🌸

In 2025, we're offering wedding florals, bouquets & bunches at our farm store, and flowers to florists through the Ottawa Flower Collective.

We're farmer-florists

Not only do we love growing flowers, but we have also fallen for natural floral design. As an organic farmer connected to the land and the changing seasons, it was only a matter of time before Alix started to create with flowers.

Our design aesthetic looks to bring you into the present moment and connect you with nature. We are all about exploring unique and nuanced colour combinations and evoking the wild and whimsical. We choose varieties based on scent, texture, movement, and colour and the flowers themselves act as our ultimate inspiration.

Why local wedding flowers?

Unique Varieties

Over 80% of cut-flowers are imported in Canada and varieties are chosen based on how well they hold up during transport. In contrast, locally grown flowers offer incredible diversity in colour, texture, fragrance and feel, and are usually cut 48 hours before the wedding.

Support small-scale farmers

By choosing wedding flowers from a farmer-florist, you are supporting small-scale regenerative agriculture while keeping your dollars circulating in the local economy.

Ecological

We grow flowers and foliage alongside our organic vegetables without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. The flower field is a safe home to an abundance of life and provides food for pollinators. Our flowers travel less than 100 km to reach our customers compared to most flowers that are shipped on planes.

Low Waste

The floral industry is notorious for its overuse of plastics that mostly end up in landfills or in waterways to the detriment of marine life. We never use floral foam or plastic sleeves and put emphasis on composting and re-use as much as possible.

Kelsa & Justin, married in September 2023

"It was a fantastic experience working with Alix for my wedding florals. Alix was so friendly, helpful, and did an incredible job creating the bouquet of my dreams! The colour scheme was perfect for my September wedding, and it was so special knowing that all the flowers were locally grown and in bloom at the time of our wedding. I cannot recommend them enough!"
